Surfing

Sennen Cove is a popular spot for surfing. It is suitable for all standards, offering shallow waves for beginners and some much steeper ones for experienced surfers. There is even a reef around 100m from the shore called the Cowloes. It can be dangerous though so only really confident surfers should give it a try.

Beginners can hire boards and take surf lessons during the summer. There is also a team of lifeguards monitoring the beach for the high season.

Swimming

Sennen Cove has a flagged area for swimming. As we said, the waves tend to be shallow so it is good for swimmers of all abilities. Again the lifeguards are on hand over the summer to help anyone that gets into trouble.

Climbing

There are also a number of great places to go climbing at Sennen. Beginners have lots of routes to choose from. In addition experienced climbers have some more challenging climbs to attempt. The crags are mostly not tidal but in certain conditions they can become dangerous. It is always better to check the swells.

Cafes, restaurants, pubs and shops
